Immerse your creative high school student in the craft of writing this summer!
Our creative writing workshop for students in Grades 7 - 10 offers teens the opportunity to work with published authors on prose, poetry and hybrid works. Classes will teach children how to give and take productive feedback in a workshop setting and edit and polish their work accordingly. Plus they will gain more insight into the publishing process, take field trips to NYC literary hotspots like Poets House, and read their polished writing at a closing showcase.
WRITING TOOLS
Students will work through generative exercises and gain specific, hands-on writing tools to make the writing process less daunting!
WORKSHOP
Students will learn how to give and take productive feedback in a supportive, workshop setting.
PUBLISHED AUTHORS
Kids will learn from published, masters-educated visiting authors who are active members of the New York literary scene.
